Two more weeks of winter …
I cannot complain … we have not had much snow to remove this winter. I wonder what is ahead for spring? if we don’t have precipitation of some sort, the summer will be dangerously dry and those susceptible to brush fires will be at risk.
I saw my neurologist this week, and she and I agree that, as things ms related are fairly status quo with me, I need not continue to visit her in the office annually. She is open to my self-monitoring, and suggests that I stay in touch with her by occasional emails. That works for me … one less drive on the highways is one less obligation to fulfill.
I haven’t seen my psych. doc for a few months … we have just been missing each other’s scheule availabilities. We talked last fall about visiting via video chats on a secure network run by BC/BS, but I have been unable to use Rick’s iPad to upload (download?) the app that is involved. One day I will make an appointment at the Apple Store in NH and ask their help in bypassing or unlocking Rick’s password for the app store … and maybe they will help me load that video chat program. I went there with a friend recently who was trying to use a French/English translation app to scan and translate family histories … they were so quick and efficient and confident, and she was able to use her iPad immediately. So there is reason for optimism.
My next visit is to the dermatologist and the skin surgeon, both in April. I continue to post on a separate page of this blog about the melanoma recurrences. It’s like the never ending story. But as long as I can keep addressing it with surgery, I will. If it metastisizes, I will consider which lane of the bridge to cross at that point.
Until then, I’ll just keep on keepin’ on with my fabric shop and quilting. Wishing you all well.
